"Vice Mayor, Sherman Lea, has successfully for 10 years Chaired the Western Virginia Education Classic Football Game which is played each year to raise funds to encourage dropouts to return to school. As a result of this game and the funds that were derived from it, over 700 young men and women have returned to school." -

I am proud and excited to serve as a Vice Mayor and Councilman for the City of Roanoke, Virginia. It is my number one (#1) priority as a Councilman to address the needs and concerns of this City and its citizens. It is very important that there is continual economical, educational and cultural growth in our community so that all of our citizens can truly prosper.
I am ready and willing to work hard for you and with you to improve the quality of life in Roanoke. I view my position as a Councilman as a partnership between myself and this entire community.
