Eastern Province Elections and Province Polemarch’s Administrative Appointments
(Fairfax, VA - May 26, 2010) - At a special meeting held on Saturday, May 22, 2010, the members of the Eastern Province Board of Directors elected Steven E. Hairston to the position of Senior Province Vice-Polemarch. A member of the Richmond (VA) Alumni Chapter, Brother Hairston has held a number of key leadership positions at the province level, including alumni member of the Board of Directors (Region III), Chief Operating Assistant to the Province Polemarch, and Resolutions and Achievement and Awards committee chairman. In addition, he utilized his talents at the Grand Chapter level as a Member of the Achievement Commission from 2001-2010.
I am pleased to advise you of certain administrative appointments which are necessary for the smooth, orderly, and effective operation of our province:
•Joseph L. Wiggins……………………………Director of Organizational Effectiveness
•Curtis L. Wilson………………………………………………………Chief of Staff and Chief Operating Assistant to the Province Polemarch
•Cornelius “Neil” Hudgins IV………Operating Assistant to the Province Polemarch
•P. Edward Thomas…………………...Operating Assistant to the Province Polemarch
•John T. Henderson, Esq……………………………………………..Province Counsel
•David H. Childs…………………………...Director of Compliance and Investigations
As we continue to focus on the fraternity’s tag line, “Training for Leadership Since 1911,” I plan to identify a couple of our collegiate members who will serve, perhaps on a rotating basis, as a fourth operating assistant. I invite your suggestions, and I implore you to continue working together cooperatively with the members of our broad-based leadership team, especially as we seek to achieve the realistic goals and objectives promulgated by our Grand Polemarch, Dwayne M. Murray, Esq.
