Philadelphia, PA, May 2010 - Dwayne M. Murray, Esquire, Grand Polemarch (President and CEO) of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., is proud to announce the appointment of the newest member of the Council of Province Polemarchs (COPP). Province Polemarchs (Regional Directors) are responsible for the overall operations of all Chapters, undergraduate and alumni, in their various jurisdictions.

Kappa is represented by twelve (12) Provinces that cover all of its chapters throughout the continental United States and abroad. Dwight E. Thomas, who previously served as Senior Vice Polemarch of the Eastern Province, will assume the position of Province Polemarch as of May 8, 2011. He is a member of the Alexandria/Fairfax (VA) Alumni Chapter.

His jurisdiction includes the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia and Bermuda. The Eastern Province has long been critical to the fraternity’s success due to its location in the nation’s capital. Brother Thomas’ experience in servant leadership will be critical as Kappa approaches its Centennial Celebration.

Please join us in welcoming Brother Thomas to this most important position. He is poised to lead the Eastern Province into our 100th Anniversary, and subsequently, Second Century Kappa.
