Petersburg (VA) Alumni Chapter 70th Anniversary Celebration
The Petersburg (VA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. has been making a difference and positively impacting lives in the City of Petersburg, Virginia for seventy (70) years! The chapter was chartered on April 18, 1941, prior to World War II! To mark this special occasion of seventy years of achievement, we will celebrate on Saturday, April 30, 2011, with a formal Black and White Anniversary/Scholarship Ball. The theme for the evening event is, “Looking Back to Move Forward.” It will be held at the Holiday Inn (Petersburg-North Fort Lee), located at, 401 East Roslyn Road, Colonial Heights, VA 23834.
The tentative agenda is as follows:

(November 17th, 2010) – Philadelphia, PA – Grand Polemarch Dwayne M. Murray will serve as the Guest Speaker for the Seventh Annual Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Award Recognition Banquet on Thursday, November 18th, 2010.
The event, organized by the Istrouma Area Council, which serves more than 30,000 young people in South Central Louisiana and the Boy Scouts of America, will honor three Louisiana leaders, who have committed to serve in the interest of their communities and have been excellent role models: Honoring McHenry Jackson, Michael L Jackson and Todd L Sterling.
Dwayne M. Murray, Esq., Grand Polemarch of Kappa Alpha Psi said: “It is an honor for me to be called upon to highlight the enormous work of these organizations and the inspiring service of these men. I am particularly proud that these recipients are following in the footsteps of a man who served the National Urban League for a decade as Executive Director. Gaithersburg/Rockville Alumni Chapter - Deluxe Bus Trip to Atlantic City
The Men of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc-Gaithersburg/Rockville Alumni Chapter are sponsoring a Deluxe Bus Trip to Atlantic City on Saturday December 4, 2010. Cost is $45.00 with $20.00 back at the Trump Casino. The bus will leave from the southeast corner of Lake Forest Mall Parking Lot (by Metro Bus stop) at 7 am, returning at 10 pm.
