Petersburg (VA) Alumni Chapter Volunteer for the Blandford Academy

On Saturday, April 2, 2011, members of the Petersburg (VA) Alumni Chapter gathered at the Blandford Academy in Petersburg, Virginia to support the community, in cleaning up the playground and planting shrubs and trees. The Commonwealth of Virginia Attorney General, Kenneth Cuccinelli, was the keynote speaker for the event. Members of the Petersburg (VA) Alumni Chapter worked to clean up trash and debris; painted lines on the basketball court; placed mulch in the sliding board area to ensure children were protected in the event of a fall off of the slide. Chapter members that supported the event were: Calvin B. LaSmith, Sr. (Polemarch); Norman Storrs (Vice Polemarch); Ron Revish; Abraham Maven; Steffond Swilley and Calvin Alston.
