Greetings! We are officially “off and running” in the Eastern Province! The Eastern Province Board of Directors approved the attached document in total! Thank you, Brother Clanzy. Thank you, Brother Lanier. While the three page Eastern Province fundraising plan is voluntary, it sets the basis and provides the thrust that we need here in the Eastern Province to make the plan work. Please embrace it, promote it, and support it with your $100.00+ contribution.  Of course it was a Washington (DC) Alumni Chapter member and 1960 Alpha Iota initiate, Brother Joel E. McLeod, Jr., who contributed the first $500.00! Thank you, Brother McLeod.

Brothers, officially the chair is requesting Brother Crutchfield to add this document to our website, and that it be forwarded to Eastern Province Officers, chapter polemarchs, and to all other brothers. Secondly the chair is requesting that all chapter polemarchs kindly forward this memorandum to their members for action as early as possible. While there will ultimately be only one national fundraising plan, our plan will form the basis of it, and will be folded into the national plan following its review and comment by the Grand Board of Directors in November.

All of your support, directly and indirectly, will certainly benefit our national effort in raising the $165,000 necessary to support the construction of a Kappa Alpha Psi- Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation, Inc. sponsored Habitat For Humanity Home for a richly deserving family.

You will hear from this committee as it plans and directs the Eastern Province. Our job is huge. This home will be built in our Eastern Province. It is our destiny to lead this initiative. The time is now. Please join us! Thank you. More to come! —Brother Clarence Nelson
